How adversely do you think this upcoming weekend's supermoon will affect the bite? I assume it will take 16oz minimum to hold bottom...(especially after Sunday 7am when the moon passes closest to Earth)
Good thing there aren't any storm fronts to deal with.
What do you guys think? Can't say I've ever fished just before/during/the day after one.

Usually hurts the bite somewhat. But you never know its fishing. Usually good fishing before and after the moon. Gotta find areas with less current so that reason alone might cause you to leave productive grounds. I had drifts the other day at 3 mph.

Yes indeed, the drifts may be brutal. Just a couple days ago, we were pushed off productive grounds by that same 3mph drift. Guess we just have to try our hardest and hope those doggies don't ruin the day again.
...or the cownose ray that paid us a visit and made us pull up our lines faster than a gator blue cuts through 12lb mono.

The morning high tide predictions seem pretty typical for a full moon, but the evening tide might really be screaming.
