Capt Kenny and Jimmy had a crew out for a PM bass trip today. They ran north, had trouble finding bait, so the crew opted to fluke fish for an hour or so until the sun started to set.

Fluking was very slow, as they only boated I think 2 shorts. Back to looking for bait, they found some scattered pods and were able to get a few pieces, but weather got CRAZY with the thunderstorm roaring offshore so they headed up the beach a bit, found dirty water, and then once the weather cleared a bit they headed back south to where they saw the bait.

There was some bunker up on top, and they were able to get a unseen fish blow up on a popper, but the live baits went untouched.

Running all the way back down to our inlet they couldn't buy a bite.

Fishing again was horrible on the bass front. We're gonna give the bassin' a break as maybe we will see a late June run like we've seen in the past --- HOPEFULLY.

Tonight's trip was a hack job - the entire crew gave it their all but when there's seemingly no fish around to be caught, you truly can't do much on the "catching" front. Better days are ahead! Look out seabass and fluke!
