As others have mentioned, the 7B's and FF party boats sail out of Port Judith. In my experiences, the level of service on the PB's up there are a notch or two below most NJ boats.
I have a fluke charter up there on Fri July 26th with two openings if you will be going in that timeframe if you're interested.

Short drive away in New Bedford, MA is the Bounty Hunter. Great bottom fisherman and Capt Eric is a great guy.

When I was in Newport last year, I found a fishery that I never expected. If you go to the bridge in town that goes to the island where there is a hotel & marina, you will see people fishing for squid, day and night. They actually bring quartz lights and generators to illuminate the water and jig up a pail full of squid. Don't get bit. Bring pink/white and blue/wite squid jigs with light gear, and have a ball. If you have the time, then jig the live squids on the right side of the bridge for fluke, and they can be big. If you need more info, send me a PM. and we can talk.............catch ém up, Papa

Point Judith..take the Ferry to the Block. Beach fishing or charter all first rate this time of year. Need recommendations PM me. Not sure about Newport fishing. The Rocks there are very LARGE and suppose you have to know where to go and when to make it a rock bite. Go to Jamestown Island and fish the beach there
One of the most interesting and romantic places to visit. Great fluke fishing. But last year was the worse season they ever had. Fluke were extremely scarce all summer. My brother has a fishing boat there and lives there three months out of the year. PM me your phone number and i'll pass it along to him. He sometimes looks for other fishermen to join him. They have a casino one mile from the seaport. Lots to do in Newport, R.I.
