Maybe we can have Bass contest before the year is over... My vote would be to hold it at lil' Swartswood for this contest.... Smaller lake with some very nice beasts in there including the notorious Tiger Musky

Anyway... Lil' Swartswood has absolutely no pressure and I can almost guarantee that we would be the only guys out fishing on that Lake.... has small but very decent boat launch and just down the road is a convienance store and damn good pizza place for food...

I fished there once this year about 4 weeks ago and I had 6 + Lb largemouth...

anyway.. just a thought.....

.

Sounds like fun. here are my thoughts on the matter:

-Fishing forums generally don't have 'live' fishing tournaments, but rather people taking pictures of their catch with either a scale or ruler in the frame and submitting them to the forum.

-There was a fishing forum in Florida that ran their contest in a particularly interesting way. To ensure that all the fish were caught in a set period of time, the night before the contest began the forum announced some random thing that had to be in the picture to ensure that all the fish in contention were caught after the contest began. In this case, it was a can of Monster Energy Drink.

What do you think?

We had a great turnout a couple months ago when we had the Pike contest on the Passaic River. It was awesome pulling into the parking lot and seeing 18 plus boat trailers all there for the contest...

Hoping to get the same or more to turn out...

It's a small lake at Little Swartswood so all you would need is a trolling motor to be honest... The reason why I suggested Little Swartswood is because there are some big beasts in there and it gets no real pressure... I could almost guarantee that we would have the entire lake to the NJ fishing forum contestants.....

I would steer clear of the words "contest" or "tournament"

If you hold a contest or a tournament on State land you MAY have to obtain a permit.

I like Meet and Greet. Those words are saying let's all get together and have a fun time.

I'm in Flyboy. If you need any help getting it going send me a PM. Pick a date, start time and finish time. I will be on vacation July 4-14 so hopefully you won't pick that time frame. Set up some rules for this BASS-MEET-N-GREET. Lets get it going!!!

It seems like we have some real interest in this "BASS meet n greet" at lil swartswood so I would suggest we start getting a list of those who are definitely down to participate as well as listing the dates that they are available... Im thinking a weekend day/date between July 20 through Aug 4.... that way it gives people time to recover from the 4th of july weekend and it also gives adequate time for everyone to make arrangements and prepare these future possible dates.

We also have 2 options of where to hold this meet and greet... Little Swartswood or accross the road at Big Swartswood... I recommended Little Swartswood because it's a nice small-intimate (but deep) lake with little to no pressure and there definitely is some very nice monsters in there and as a bonus its home to the Tiger Muskie so we could have some bonuses going for catching one of those bad boys too... I figured it would be a good time with everyone being within shouting distance of each other to talk some shit and observe actual catches as they happen... and I could almost guarantee that it would prolly just be all NJfishing members occupying the water....

I went ahead and opened an Official Meet n Greet thread for sign ups and info...
