Dear KDC supporter, our annual Junior Derby Day will be held this Sat. June 8th from 9 AM until noon when prizes will be awarded & lunch served at Memorial Pond in Mt. Arlington. The pond is located on North Glen Ave. If you're bringing your kids to fish get there a little early to register (and pick a good spot). If you are coming as a volunteer, like wise a 8:30 is a good time and bring a small net, pliers, rag and a folding chair if you can.
After awards and lunch we start our Annual Chuck Frith Memorial Handicapped Children's Outing (1 PM-3 PM) where special kids with special needs come out to enjoy a day of fishing fun as guests of the Knee Deep Club. We keep the barbecue going throughout this event, which ends up around 3 PM. We supply all equipment for this event and award each participant a special prize. All volunteers need, is to bring their smiles and help these special friends enjoy a special day. It is a very rewarding day for all involved & if you'd like to volunteer for both or either event the Knee Deep Club will appreciate your help.
Event goes on Rain or Shine, but safety is job one and if lightening is present they will be cancelled.
