Todays afternoon fluke trip went really well, we had Jim and his dad, also George, and Jeff. They had lots of fun reeling in those nice 3-4 pounders. started at the triangle and it was nothing but sea robins, so we picked up and moved down a little ways. Found a nice ledge and were picking all day long with some cocktail blues in the mix. We are about to start going out to the reef for some sea bass. Saturday and Sunday are open.

You have absolutely horribble on the water manners, especielly coming from a charter boat. It is insane to drift less than 20 feet from an anchored boat fishing with all that open water. I have never seen anything like that before and hope it is not your usual practice.

That's quite a first post....
I wasn't there, but since you've decided to post on a public forum, I assume it was you that was anchored. It begs the question as to why you were anchored in the channel? When everyone's drifting for fluke or bass there's nothing worse when some guy decides he's going to anchor up and force everyone else to deal with it.

To Tallboy we are great fully sorry for doing that to you, we mean in no intention to do that. But instead of just bad mouthing the guys we took out yesterday and you did say some nasty things, you could of just said you are to close can you please move and we would of moved for you. We don't want to start anything and we never did that to anyone else before in are life. Me and the mate are vary nice people and the whole day we felt guilty doing that to you. Again we are vary sorry.

I have fished on the Evening Tide numerous times and captain Kyle and crew have always been a class act. We always caught fish and the captain never had such issues. Must have been a simple mistake...im looking forward to going out with Kyle n company soon...

Hey it works both ways. I was doing the same short drift for over an hour on monday until some ******* plopped anchor in the middle of the line i was on. The bite was so specific to the little divot i found that i had to leave to find another spot. I drifted by him twice about twenty feet away hoping to caych the edge of the divot and give him the hint at the same time, but once i saw NY on his registration number i knew he would never get it so i left.

Yes, it is an interesting first post. I apologize for the nasty things that were said and being the only sober person on the boat, I did not take part in that exchange. But given the egregious violation of respect for personal space on the water, I do not believe the comments were that far out of line. We were anchored at least 30 or 40 yards out of the channel and there were very few if any other boats in the area. They were not pounding the same exact drift, but instead dragging the whole area. Bottom line is it was ridiculous to get so close to us with all that open water. With that being said I take your word it was an accident and the fact other people have stuck up for you. I guess thanks for showing me a new fluking spot. I hope to repay some of the great info I have gleaned from this board over the last few months.
