100' Paramount Report
5/29/13
Capt. Francis Bogan
Post Holiday Sea Bass & Ling
After the chaos that was Memorial Day (everyone went fishing Monday since Saturday and Sunday were not the nicest of days) we sailed on Tuesday with a small crowd, nice conditions and some excellent fishing.
Catches ranged from 4 to 8 keeper Sea Bass a man on average to highs in the tens and upper teens of keeper Sea Bass along with 15 to 20 Ling per person. Kirk Davis from Rumson, NJ ended the day with a nice catch of 19 keeper Sea Bass and around 25 or so Ling. Blackfish Doug from Manalapan had 7 keeper Sea Bass and around 30 Ling, Marek Paro had 11 keeper Sea Bass and 26 Ling and his largest Sea Bass was the pool winner at about 4.5 pounds (nice big humpback - pictures below) Middletown Mike had 9 keeper Sea Bass and 24 Ling.
We continue to see some Ling mixed in with the Sea Bass. As water temps start to rise we should see the Ling retreat to the deeper water and expect the catches to turn into mostly Sea Bass.
We are now sailing 7 days a week for Black Sea Bass as our primary target!
Paramount Sailing Schedule:
Monday & Friday Marathons
6:30am till 5:00pm every Monday & Friday
Daily Wreck Trips
6:30am till 3:30pm every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Saturday & Sunday
All trips are targeting Black Sea Bass and are also catching some Ling as well.
