Decided to hit the Bay side and fished a spoon and pencil popper for ~ 40 min with nothing happening.
With an apparent easterly wind that blew fog over the area, visibility decreased to < 1/4 at one point.:cool: Then things cleared.
Moved to the local hot "SPOT" and found action on 3-5 lb blues. Managed 4 in this class over 2 hours and had a few come unbuttoned in the surf. All fish were caught on metal. Saw a few larger fish breaking surface well beyond casting distance.
Chest high in the surf with a bend in the rod...Yeah!
