Lake Hopatcong Walleye 5/20

Hit the big lake again with Outofline. Launched the boat at 8pm and off we went. Got on some Eyeball action around 945 or so, Matt just couldn't come up with an Eye, rough night for him. He did hook 2 nice Hybrids for the night, just when I was about to net the first 1, he dove down into the weeds and popped off. 4-5 lb fish gone. 2nd Hybrid was pretty hyper and did not like the net at all, had his ass in the net and he found a way to unhook himself and be free once again. Damn Matt, sorry buddy, 2 nice Hybrids. Pretty good night for me, wound up boating my first Hybrid of the year, nice one, 5lbs 11ozs. Boated 6 Eyes as well, 2 were short. The keepers were 18.5 - 24.5 inches with the biggest Eye weighing 5.8 lbs. All fish caught on lures and absolutely no surface action where we fished. YEA BUDDY! TIGHT LINEZ!!!:D

i told my buddy they have been chewing so he went up last night as well launched same time said he got 2 eyes around 9 930 then all hell broke looks during the magic hour which lasted little over an hour of three pl they then proceeded to get 8 more eyes and 13 hybrids. all on artificial. i fish the lake everyday and since im sick for the past few days it still kills me not being out there.

Was up there last night til about 11 when some crazy lightning rolled through. Water temp was up to 67 degrees and the topwater bite was ON :eek: . Left them biting, but picked up a nice Walleye and a Hybrid on Zara Spooks.
