All I can say is that njfishing members really stepped up to the plate and made the Hi-Mar fundraiser for elderly neighbor of mine a big success as the money we raised truly made a difference and was a great help in getting her through a tough time after her accident. I am truly gratefull for everyone here who supported the cause. The final thing to do is announce the winner of the Kevin Bogan Fish Poison Fluke Rod with anglers name on it which Kevin so kindly donated. Kevin sent me a private PM when I posted my idea for fundraiser back in Feb. that he would donate a custom Fish Poison Fluke rod for me to do whatever i wanted with to raise money. He did this all in the background without looking for any recognition or anything in return. Very impressed.
I put all the names in a hat of everyone who donated or bought something at the Hi MAr show as well as anyone who made donations in cash or paypal.
The Winner of the Kevin Bogan custom Fish Poison Fluke rod is. Drum role please.

Could not have happened to a nicer guy. Larry walked up to me and introduced himself to me at the show. He did not know me personally or lady who was effected. He was just touched by the story and wanted to help. I am so pleased to see his name drawn as I have gotten a chance to know him and he is truly a super nice guy.
Please contact Kevin Bogan to make arrangements to have rod made. If you want anything extra special on rod that is above and beyond the basic Fish Poison black on black fluke rod tell Kevin exactly what you want and I will be happy to pay for any upcharge.
This was truly a life changing experience for me personally as I have been thinking of starting my own bussiness for a few years now. Having to help take care of 2 elderly parents for the past few years and now helping out this neighbor opened my eyes for the need for an advocate for the elderly population that are in need of care. I recenlty launched a Health Services Firm called 1 on 1 CARING Solutions to help those in need with all their Healthcare needs. We are a full service firm providing: Homecare, Staffing, referral services, mobility products and technolgy solutions to both individuals and facilities. Even though are license just took effect May 1 st the need for what we do is through the roof. That is the good news. The bad news is that we are so busy that I have not had a minute to myself to wet a line and catch some fish.
I am truly blessed to be a member of the njfishing community, as your acts of kindness when people are in need have touched and helped many. I am proud to call many of you my friends. Many thanks to all for your help and well wishes.
