Tried to post this earlier. Hope it doesn't appear twice. Anyhow, chartered the Monger yesterday. Capt. Jerry suggested we leave later in the afternoon, so off we went at 2 pm.
Headed north, made bait, and at 6:30, we had 2 fish in the boat. Conditions changed and, for the next couple of hours, we picked and poked on readings and swirling bass.
We finished with 17 stripers from the midteens to approximately 30 lbs. Kept our limit and a tag or two. Ended up being a great trip with Jerry and John.
Hopefully this is a start of improved striper fishing. Good luck to everybody out there today.
