Capt Kenny and supermate Jimmy ran an OB trip this afternoon targeting bass whichever way they coulda caught them.

Ran north, looking to make bait, didn't find any till they got up by the rocks and got some pieces for the livewell. Prior to that they tried jigging over some good marks, to no avail.

The live baits basically went untouched, with the exception of one skinned bunker LOL

After that "dried up" the guys went up on the troll and worked their way south down to Elberon, then to Asbury, then to the humps off spring lake and Belmar, then finally to our mile marker and just to the south, and caught absolutely nothing.

A gigantic donut was our result for today - the boys covered a load of miles and gave it their all but fishing was flat-out poor for us.

Saturday we're fluking, Sunday we're scheduled to be back bassing, weather permitting.

Sounds like the bass got other things on their mind captain! If u didn't land any today...the fish just weren't biting...get em next time. And don't forget...there's whiting too

saw you heading out around noon, we had been out in the morning, nada. the up side was that out of 11 fluke that happened to get stuck on the bluefish jigs  7 where keepers just east of your dock. tons of snot on the bottom, wouldnt even call it seaweed, but once the tide started to run out good pick. was a lil wary of drifting in there but besides a couple of 5 foot bumps on the bottom everything was good.

The kids that work on our dock are still catching flounder too. Thanks for the heads up with the fluke!
