Had a great group of customers on the boat today, some I haven't seen in a couple years, but never forgot them. Unfortunately, the fishing was very tough to say the least. We picked a few keepers and a couple shorts at the start, never did get a hot bite, despite some great readings on the fish finder.

Made several drops, each time on readings that should have produced fish. Watched the trollers pick away in the same area, they just didn't want to eat the bait.
Finally made one last move and waited for some more current. Started with a shot of a couple nice keepers, then a pick. Thought for sure the bite was happening only to be disappointed once again. A nice 18 pound fish took the pool.
Can't blame the wind against the tide because the readings were there and the guys in the bow should have been catching them. No excuses, they just didn't eat.

Hopefully Capt. Dan has a better bite on the end of the tide tonight. Water temp hit 60 degrees today, the spawn ain't far behind!

Must have been the ring around the sun, couldn't be the guys in the bow. Heavenly interference. Can now add that to the list of why the stripers don't bite reasons.
