Went out for a few hours tonight and picked two shad and a smallmouth. The boat in front of me got about six in the same time. The nice thing was the shad we caught were 4.75 and 5 lb, that's two nice shad. Guys on the river are starting to look for striper now but I haven't heard of any caught yet. Anyone have any news of striper caught on the Delaware say north of Lambertville?

For all the reports of thunder storms and rain it was a beautiful night on the river. We kept the 250 yards on and just fished it around the point. The river was at 1.37' and 62F. We ended up with 10 bucks and 8 roe. We returned 2 shad. We also got 4 small mouth bass, 25 catfish, 18 suckers 109 gizzard shad and 1 striped bass. We'll be out there again tonight at 6:30pm.

As always, we are looking for any extra hands to volunteer. If you think you might be interested, come on down and check us out. We start about 6pm Monday to Friday and 10:30am Saturday.

If you know anyone who would also like these updates just send the email address and contact info to me.

If you do not want to be on the list that gets this email just reply back and let me know.

Nice job Phil! I'll be down on the river in June when all the Shad are gone. Those 5 pound Shad are monsters.

Where do you launch from on the DE. Is the water relatively calm? deep? easy to fish to bring kids out? fast drift? slow? Do you anchor?

I know a lot of questions but this is a fishery I have been ignoring for too long
