River report.. hook in head?

Decided To Hit Up The Shrewsbury River Last Night On My Buddys Boat.. Made A Few Drifts For Bass During The Incoming..Where WE Have Been Beatin On Em All Week..No Love..

Then Hit Up A Little Flat For Hopefully Some WEakfish Action..Found Em..Thanks To Max At Pride Tackle Shop In Red Bank Who Hooked Me Up AWith Some Sp Minnows (Bone Color).. all released to swim another day.

Next We Worked The River DurIng The Outgoing For Bass With shads...It Paid Off.

Finally We Got Greedy And Wanted To See If Those Weakfish Hung Around FoR the Tide Change. Anchored Up On This Flat Blind Casting Small Jig, Sp Minnows And Bombers....All Of A Sudden I Hear And Feel A Whack.. Except The Whack Was In The Back Of My Head And Was My Buddys Scratch Bomber Lodged Into My Head.. Decided To Call It Quits..

Three Hours LatEr And A Visit To The ER Hooks Out..

I sure miss that River Fishing!! Some of my best memories are fishing with my Dad, my wife and son back there. You can catch any species that we catch out front without leaving the comforts of Home and getting your butt kicked.

Be careful of this well kept secret....:)

Nice call on the release but c & r with treble hooks...... Idk. Especially when there is blood dripping from the hooked gills.

had a hook stuck in my head the same way. was not a fun time. oddly enough i felt no pain, just scared as hell that it had "punctured my brain". hahaha. Glad you're alright.
