May 4th Striped Bass report -Johnny Bucktails

Left the dock at 7:15 and we were back by 2 o'clock. Might have been the best day of the year so far. All im gana say is no more clams for me. Todays crew consisted of The lip, I, and Matty C. Left the dock without a clam on the boat. Didn't take long until we found the bunker. One throw from matt on the bow was all we needed. Got set up on the spot and it was game on. Live lined fish after fish, after fish. Once the tide switched we switched over to chunkin'. Once again... fish, after fish, after fish. Landed a total of 33 bass. Not a single short fish was caught. Threw back fish after fish only keeping our legal limit of 6 fish. I was showed a post on another site how i am not considered... the meat man of Nj. I am quite honored and i am waiting for my trophy in the mail. Thank you, thank you. Biggest fish went 24 pounds caught on the last 5 minutes of the day. My friends behind me in the pic just wanted to be in the pic. They weren't on the boat just so your aware. I would also like to point out that we did not catch a single blue fish then entire day. Don't know how long that is going to last. Smallest fish caught was probably 17 pounds. I have a video that i am still working on and will post when it is done. Another amazing day on the water with the boys.
