Spoke with Capt. Tommy last night and he reported another good day on the water. Jigemup showed off his jigging skills limiting out before 9am and putting a total of 7 keepers up to 7 1/2 lbs in the box along with a short striper (safely released). The rest of the crew combined for another 17 keepers and a bunch of shorts. Unfortuntately, due to the weather, we did not sail today and things are not looking good for tomorrow. It looks like the tog are safe for now (at least until the fall) so onto the striped ones we go!

Nice! Capt Kevin. How deep were they fishing if you don't mind me asking?

I'm not sure about yesterday, but when I was on the boat Saturday, most of the fish were caught in about 35-40'.

Does anyone have any clips on blackfish jigging?

Henry - when are you coming out with your line of jigging videos? We can sell them on our website :D Whatever the price, I'm sure they'll be worth every penny!

Sam, proof that your jigs work, need to get some more. You just got to do it, swing and miss the bites. The best advice I can give, when using jigs for tog, do not fish for tog, think of a new and different species of fish, the bite is totally different.
