Hudson River Cows 04.28.13

Finally got the boat in the water on Friday. Stu, Bo, John , and Art fished on Friday night. Scott and Mike came out on Saturday. Entered the HRFA Striper tournament for the weekend. We had slow but steady fishing of bass coming up the river. All fish caught on bunker north of the GW Bridge. The big cows are on there way. Next week is looking great for larger fish. We caught bass from 17- 37 pounds. The 37.75 was good for 1st place and Johns 2 day total took 2nd to our buddy Paul Faist who had 2 day total weighed in for a total of 66 Pounds. http://stripedbassderby.com/cgi-bin/drbyldr.pl

On the way from where. Meaning do they pass thru sandy hook first and then up river to fw to spawn or are they on the way from fw now back to the ocean?
When will they be in the Newburgh NY area

Most fish caught in Newburgh this weekend were teen size fish. The bigger cows for the majority are not there yet. They are coming from the ocean, pass thru sandy hook and on there way up the river to spawn.
