Ready to put a beating on some Jersey BFT!! Canyons HS Series 3 Speed Reel!

I got to test another proto-type last year but the season was cut short by the storm. This baby is gonna be put to the test in a week or two. :)

Thought it would generate some conversation. Sorry for any "unanswered PM's," I am just getting online after a couple of weeks away. Will get caught up with old biz...

This goes in the my book similar for the need for 60# drags on many stand up reels , why ? Most anglers cannot stand up to this pressure ,need to learn how to use the rod & select proper tapers to best tough fish !
This goes in the catergory of I need to know why I would ever require a two speed reel never mind three!
Good luck on this development !

No doubt the drag is overkill. No normal person is holding more than say..... 28-30# without an issue.

But in the world of jigging, theres a need for each manufacturer to show their strength and a big group out there that needs to have options they will never use. Lol. In NJ theres not much need but in other areas they use it for grouper and things like that.

If nothing else it shows that Canyon is at least working with people to get the latest available engineering. Its actually a nce lil reel. The manual is sold seperate for $500. Ha ha !!!
