Didn't get the heavy rain last year in May to bring them up to Bound Brook but 2 years ago we did pretty good.

21.00 was the magic number. I know it's only April. These fish are fun to C&R, very big fish for a freshwater river.

I only fish the ladder when the water is high, otherwise I just donate all my lures lol. I'm still yet to catch a decent striper in the RR. I've caught about 5 from the ladder upstream to manville, but none of any size. I'm sure ill see you down there soon after we get some rain Eddie, I'll help you land them! lol

Stopped by the river this afternoon and picked up a largemouth in the raging waters. Guy fishing next to me got a 23 inch pickerel. Did not see any Shad or Stripes yet, but soon enough its gona be GAME ON!!! This was at the SBB falls.

Give me the good word Eddie. I'll make sure I have something heavier than a medium action rod with 8-pound test and maybe I can LAND a fish this timre around.

Ill let you know. The MOJO MUSKY spinning rod should be able to handle the RIVER MONSTERS! Last year was great when you walked down to the river and hooked 1 on the first cast or so. That fish was SMOKIN"!!! C-YA!!!

I'll have a musky rod as well, but it will be a casting rod with a 400 reel and 80-pound braid.

That was a great moment too. If I remember correctly I was donning a suit and tie?

Grab a Shimano Sojourn 7' Heavy spinning rod. Casts up to 3oz of weight and only costs 35 bucks. I've had mine for a year and a half without a single complaint. Perfect rod for river monsters!!
