Today we had the Gene Klein family on board for a great day of bottomfishing. Capt. Tommy decided to start offshore and the first two drops produced a few keeper cod and some nice-sized ling. Once the wind started to crank, we worked our way back inshore where the tog were waiting for us! Barbara put on a clinic getting high hook honors and catching the largest cod and blackfish of the day. This was also the first saltwater trip for Gene's grandkids, Danny and Reuben, and they were real troopers and stayed at the rail all day. Everyone had a blast and we are looking forward to seeing them again on their next trip in May.

I have pics from today's trip, but haven't figured out how to upload them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Gerry - Thanks for your help directing me to the FAQ section of the site so I could post the pics from our trip yesterday. Of course that was probably the last place I would've looked lol

I recevied an email from Gene this morning and thought I would share it.

Kevin,

Just wanted to thank you and Captain Tom again for the fishing trip. We had a fish fry or fish grill , I guess. The fish fed sixteen people (half kids), gave some to the neighbors and put some in the freezer. More importantly it gave my grandkids a memory they will not forget. By the way the Black Fish easily won the taste test, so much so they made me cook them all. Capt Tom is now known among my Grandkids as a true Jedi Mind Melder (or something like that) or Yoda.

Regards,

Eugene E. Klein
