Cape May, NJ Jetty Blackfishing

Went out today for some inshore jetty blackfishing. last week was really slow, but this week was way better. Me, My dad (a 35-year fish veteran), and his buddy were out on this nice day. we caught well over 25 fish but only 5 keeper fish. I had the high hook with at least a dozen fish and my limit to 17 1/2 inches. very good day, got some of the pics and a video to go with it.

Glad to see you got em ! I am familiar with that jetty. What months is it accessible for fishing ? Is fishing not allowed during the summer ? Thanks

I'm pretty sure its open spring to fall. In the winter, they close it for safety reasons

I am very curious to see if this jetty still holds some blackfish in the summer months ? I will have to give it a shot

we caught some giant ones years ago in the summer around august and september so it wouldn't hurt to try.
