Hi guys, I would like too know if the boats are safe there looking to keep the boat there this summer and lunching from Leonard marina. I was going to use ah this year but don't know when it will be ready I'm from philadelphia and would just like to know the boat is safe there.

It's gated and I never had a problem.

I went there right after Sandy it seemed to have had no damage and was secure

Blackfoot is a great place to store. Lester is a good guy and the gates are always locked!!

A couple of friends of mine kept their boats there for years...NEVER a problem

No slips left in Leonardo, they don't even have enough slips for current slip holders because of the construction going on in the marina. You might check after July 1 when the construction is due to be completed.

Great Owner and The guys who keep there boats there are very observant of who is in the yard. Lester is a great guy with a punch line for everything. I kept my boat there during Sandy and not a ding. Just so you guys know, the boat yard is a old oil tank yard that is fortified with a rock jetty and cement sea wall. It is probably about 20 feet higher than sea level as well. Once AH ramp is open again, its a great spot. See ya there

I've heard that if you grease the right wheels at Leonardo (a case of beer for Gerry Z), you can still get a slip. Just make sure you've got a tide chart!:eek:
