NOAA study on Recreational fishing

I tend to look at these things, I need a better life. Seems to me that overall they say that there is a healthy industry supporting many jobs, they also point out that charter boats (i guess they mean six packs) made $5k on average in 2010 and more than half of them lost money (median -595). This says that the better charters make a modest living and the majority just scrape by.

It seems that they do it for the love of fishing because there aint no real money in it.
