Some people have been complaining that this winter was too much with the cold and some snow. Some people are saying this winter was not enough and a dud. Either way, looks like a nice summer for fluke season. We will be in those hot temperatures soon. Check this poll out.

Yeah, I went ling slingin' last summer and it was hot as b**** but we caught 'em good.
Lingin' at 10 degrees is harsh, ice on the guides, ice on the rail, ice on your beard. As much as I hate sweating like a hooker in church while working fluke trips on those insanely hot, wind-less, dog days of summer I think that's better than bottom fishing at 10 degrees. (unless the wind isn't blowing too much...)

Choice should have been Togging in 10 degree weather or Flukin in 100 degree weather. I'd take togging anyday!

Older I get, the more intolerant to the cold I become.

Besides being cold, the sea conditions usually stink too. Even on an 85 footer.

Can't stand the heat but if I'm going to fish in 10 degree temps it better be for cod.

Fished in about 110 degrees on a RFA trip 2 years ago. Sweated about 20 pounds, but i would do it again in a second. :D

10 degrees is extreme. When it's 10 degrees most boats won't be sailing b/c the NNW wind is probably blowing 20-30 LOL
20 degrees is still extreme.
30 is OK. When I was 10-15 years younger I'd have no issue jigging bass or going toggin when the temp was in the low 30's, but now? LOL
WIND has everything to do with cold. We've had many days out there when we've been in the 20's but with no wind, it's really not that bad. 30-40 with no wind is fantastic, and anything over 35 with little wind is perfect.
100 degree heat? No thanks! We do it every summer, but I hate it. It's tough to fish when it's that hot, and again, if there's no wind, it's horrible. If we get a little breeze when its warm, it's doable.
Remember 100 degree heat and W wind in the summer = green heads!
