Interesting video of Paul hooking a fish.

I assume the next part of the season will be a close look at Paul and his brother vs. Dave and Sandro. Should make for some fun watching.

Who are you guys rooting for?

My answer: FV-Tuna.com

I think its a show and all choreographed,

These guys were at a charity event here in NJ after the season filmed, they were all together chilling out on the same team..

Either way for the sport of it I want Paul to show them where its at..

But Im a huge fan of Dave an Sandro also.

Ive just noticed to much editing to believe its real.
1 fish on 3 or 4 different rods and reels.
depth in the background showing like 20 feet..
makes ya think the whole fight is BS and staged ...

Whatever.. I love it anyway.. dont miss an episode..

Deadliest Catch new season starting soon ;)

Big fan of Marciano also.. just needs to get a betta boat.. LOL
Maybe next year.. cant tell me these guys arent making a killing from this show..

Yup, they gotta be gettin something good out of the show--more than exposure to the general public--not to mention fresh hull paint, new rods/reels and I'll bet free line(or at least reduced prices) and lots of logoed outer wear..etc......

It should be interesting Paul vs. Dave...I'm sure something's going to happen...

I'm hoping all for the best for the Hard Merchandise...Marciano is really down to earth..very real and no b.s.

Paul is no longer on my boat, however we are still friends and go to events together.

As for 20 feet, when a bottom machine is set at a lower scale to show a depth in the upper water column and not the bottom the unit is confused and shows an inaccurate depth, ie 20 feet. No, no fights are staged.

As for multiple rods and reels, just sloppy editing that appears to have been fine tuned.

Yes, we all get more tackle, gear and clothing than we know what to do with.

Noticed you guys wearing quite a bit of bassproshops gear this season.. lol..

Ralph - crazier than $#it house rat. nutball

Bounty Hunter - just torture to watch

Tyler - can be irritating as f$%k , but brings something to the show

Wish we could get you out, however other than a few dates open for cod and haddock in April and May we are completely full. Email me late November or December and 2 of you can ride with us then. We are burned out by then and would love for you to sling chum and turn the handle.

I'm game! Thanks. Really enjoying the show. Like what you stand for and how you operate. Regarding Paul, I believe he said it best, he needs to be on his own boat....better for everybody, less distraction.

I'm sure Dave's business was doing very well before the show as he is well know and respected. I remember Dave posing cod videos on nj com years ago... But now that the show is getting really popular like Dave said he is basically booked..and I'm sure Marciano and even the bounty hunters charter business now after the show is way more compared to what it was.. I'm sure now all the merchandise on their websites are being purchased at high rates..I'm glad the show kinda depicts how hard it is to make a living now a days in that business and let every one know its not all myties and Yahtzee ... Nice to see someone out if nj become famous too. Great show! Looking forward to Sunday... In last weeks it showed Paul hookin up and they gettin on the radio breaking Dave's balls, this should be good.. Hehe

From watching the posts on this board over the years the network could do a show on the Fluke tournaments in NJ and come up with a good show. There are enough characters to fill the all the roles. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I have to agree with the choreograph thing, all these shows seem that way. But still enjoy watching the show. was not a big fan of Dave's ( Tuna.com) until the episode when HArd Merchandise broke down, and instead of finishing his day of fishing, he went right over to tow them back in.

Preparation is one of the keys to success in this game , locations , rigging, expierance, time on grounds , boat running ability all home into play .
TV just shows action dometimes could be days between fish!
The rod holder method of fighting these fish allow one angler to posci ly get the job done.
Years back in the chair you had to have several people to land fish , angler most times didn't even see fish prior to Your baby & harping
Or gffing.
W/O chair much more control of fish & eliminates lots of possible mistakes with less than experienced crew.
Everybing always looks easier than it is , gt fishing is constant work , I know I did it in the seventies when a good price for a fish was 4 to 9 bucks a. Pound.

Bear in mind before that there was no value in Gts. , was strictly a sport fish.!
NS & PEZi Yhey were cat food or towed back to sea , if not released!

Gotta love Paul getting hit while holding the rod, Letting out that universal "WHOA!" Nothing better then that. Must be great feeling a giant take the bait. Lucky the camera was on him. Hope that wasn't choreographed although I can't see how. Pretty funny watching him ride it like a horse.

Fluke TV show? Insomniac's dream.

He is a little too cocky for my taste Sick of hearing how great he is when you could see sleeps The whole time. Seems to me like Paul and the kid did most work to get those fish. I just don't think he is as great as he says he is.

Having fished with Dave for over 20 years I beg to differ. He works hard every trip. He also was paying 2 guys to keep the boat going when he does take a cat nap. It's his boat and he writes the checks therefore he could sleep all day if he wants to or better yet he could stay on land to collect his cash when they catch.

Is he confident? Yes he is. Does he know he is a good fisherman? All of New England does. He has been top boat in his area for years running. That does not happen by luck. Go fish with him and I think you will change your mind.

BTW Paul and Sandro are also great fisherman. I think this split will be great for the show. They're are now 4 top boats with tuna.com, hard merch, pinwheel (yes that kid can fish) and Paulys new boat.

That's fine that you feel that way. I just don't want to hear how great he thinks he is. Confident if that's what call it fine. I call it cocky when you tell Me how great you are Then go on to pull hooks drop fish And miss harpoon shots. All I am saying is he is not my cup of tea

All I know is I thought this season was gonna suck the way it started.. Its pretty F#$%^&ing Exciting..

Tyler is growing on me as the season goes on.. Love tuna.com , love Paul and his brother teaming up.

I cant bare to watch the bounty hunter though.. its like dental surgery.. I wanna laugh sometimes but not for nothing its there lively hood.. I dont wanna see anyone do bad when it comes to putting food on the table.

But Im sure even though they aint catching the show is putting food on the table..

Id like to see Marciano start doing a lil better.. and where has crazy ass Ralph been??
total nutball

Anyway - Awesome season.

Funny how they show Dave sleeping just once in the last two years of the show and he is a now sleeper. Ever wonder what Paul does on the 16 hour ride to George's and back? Safety is number one....would you want your captain dozing off at the wheel on the long ride home putting your life in jeapardy in addition to ofhers? Just saying....

Paul is part time who see's about 10 bluefins a season out of 100 or so we catch without him....I think I'll be okay.

Pretty bleak right now Howie. The few boats that have made a couple trips have not done much at all. With that said once we all get out there in a couple weeks it will be easier to find them. We thought last season was going to be slow and look what happened! Hoping for half of what we had last year.

Fun trip coming soon. Boat leaves paint shop today looking like new.

I am sure I will hear it for this but I am not a big fan of Dave on the .com. Think Paul is a better fisherman.

I have fished with Dave for 5 or 6 years now. We have had both Paul and Sandro as mates. All those boys work their butts off to run a great operation. How good a captain is Dave? We were cod fishing with him running and gunning with jigs. Dave would stop the boat and we would pound the fish for two drops and then have to find them again. Did this until we limited out. When we got back to the dock the other boats had struck out. Paul is where he needs to be and will do very well and it will not be long before Sandro will be his own captain, he has learned well from Dave and Paul. Knowing how they work and how good they are as fishermen I would sail with any of them and there are more than a couple of captains out there I could not say that about. Is Dave cocky? You bet. But as they say in Texas, " It aint bragging if you can do it". See you the 17th Dave!

On Paul's boat you have good mates and a continuous chum slick, on Bounty Hunter you have a lazy mate and continuous mistakes.
