Want to learn the ins and outs of tilefishing? Then here is your chance, we have set up a charter on the Voyager for first time tilefishermen. The trip will be your opportunity to ask any and all questions you may have while out on the water learning the best possible way, hands on! In addition to the trip, there will be a seminar the Sunday before we leave. We encourage you to bring your tackle so we can go over it with you and make sure you are well prepared to make the most out of your trip.

To sign up for the trip swing by The Reel Seat, 608 Green Ave, Brielle. The trip is limited to 21 anglers so sign up early.
The boat leaves at 10pm June 4 and returns between 8-9pm on June 5.

The cost is $300.00 (does not include tip for mates, fish cleaning, or food, full galley is available)

The seminar will be held at The Reel Seat on June 2nd and starts at 2:30pm

Ryan, I will be in the shop Wed afternoon and Thursday all day. Taking the weekend off. The mates don't have a set fee for fish cleaning, they leave that up to the customers.

Dave, this is a great idea, there are some guys sitting on the fence thinking about doing a tilefish trip, but worried they might not be well prepared enough to catch some fish. Anyone even considering a first tilefish trip should jump on this charter. Capt. Jeff is one of the best captains when it comes to finding NICE golden tiles as well as big blueline tiles, the Voyager is a comfortable boat with a great crew. Dave is one of the most knowledgeable tile fishermen and his shop has anything and everything you might need!!!

Great idea & something I've longing to do. Unfortunately weekday dates are near impossible for me for the next few months.

Unfortunately, there is no way schedule wise to do this trip on a weekend. Hope you can work it out and join us.

Dave,

Thanks for the advice in the store it was nice to meet you. I'm glad I signed up for the trip and cant wait to venture off on my first tile fishing trip. Anyone else from the board sign up yet. Seems like it should be a great trip for us beginners.

Dave,

Great idea, I learned by just jumping on the Voyager one day and I can't get enough of it now.

A friend of mine was looking to go one day with me and this sounds like a great trip for him to cut his teeth on. I know the Voyager doesn't rent equipment out for Tilefish usually, but for this special charter will there be any available for him to use?

They don't rent tilefish gear, however I may be able to help him out.

I'll know if my job schedule will allow me to fish that trip by the end of next week. Hoping to be on it.
