Cant feel my fingers but here is the report you guys have been waiting for. Left the dock around 10:30 and back by 4. Left the marina to a strong NW wind and incoming tide. Wind against, anchored up and went to work. Not even close to ideal contions especially with the boat swinging and rough chop. Water temp was 40 deg ( too cold ). Within the first hour we caught 3 short bass well under 28 inches. Then it died down, really died down until the tied switched at 12:45. Made a slight move at slack and we had better conditions. Caught 1 more SHORT fish and that was it for the day... It just shot off. No more hits or anything. I cant complain though, i had a great day with pops on the water. Felt great to REALLY wet the lines and get out on the water. As debris go... i was expecting much more. All we saw all day come by us was one small wood plank to what looked like a boardwalk plank. That was it... very surprising. I would call this a successful day considering the conditions and how early in the season it is. The bass are here boys. Were gana give it a week and let the water warm up to 45 and get right back out there and get some MEAT. No more shorts. I am very happy that we even got the chance to get out, let alone catch em. Any questions just ask away guys, Tight lines, Johnny Bucktails

Great report and you are right the water temp is way to low, hope mister SUN comes back out, and the winds back off in your favor. Good luck and keep the reports coming

hey guys sorry for not responding. i wasn't kidding about not feeling my fingers. When i was on the boat i got a wet because it was very rough and i also got wet from pouring buckets of water on the deck because the deck was ice when we got to the boat. when we got home i wrote the report, jumped in a shower and went to bed. I woke up and couldn't feel my hands, feet, legs, and entire face. I could barely talk and all i did was shake. Lip rushed me to doctor in brooklyn and the doctor diagnosed me with hypothermia. I will be home from school for a while. I still chave no feelings but i can type. My memory is really messed up and im in a fog. Scariest thing i have ever experienced in my life. going to have to give it some time off from fishing but well be back shortly. tight line guys
