I read a post talking about tree huggers. It seems like such a terrestrial land lubbedr term. There must me a marine equivalent, or one must be created. Does anyone know a term for a nautical tree hugger ( e.g. ocean squatter?):p :p

People concerned that world population and the pollution/resource depletion associated with that is having an ever increasing negative effect on our ocean ecosystems.

Don't hate environmentalists. They were extremely instrumental in the resurgence of striped bass populations, for one thing. Some may be over the top and misguided but overall they have many of the same interests we do ie. clean water and healthy fish stocks.
