Another great day seabass fishing on the Voyager. 5 hr run and we started to night fish picking away at big seabass and a few porgies. As dawn Broke the fishing picked up and lots of big seaBass and mixed size porgies including Jumbos. My wife Dolores and I limited out on SB and Porgies by 10AM.
Lot bigger seabass this week with most in the 4-5 lb range with only a few smaller. Light ran started on the way in then picked up. Thanks again to the crew of the Voyager for a great day.

This was a great off shore season, I can't believe that amount of fish stacked up out there on some wrecks. I had fish hit the bait 70 feet from the bottom a few times and saw pics of the fish finder with fish from the bottom up to 100'

Some guys on our Big J trip were purposely dropping their baits slow so as to hook fish that were, like you said, stacked up to 70' off the bottom.

I was free spooling till about 20-30 ft from the bottom then slowing it to a steady fall. I got a lot of bigger fish this way.
