Good luck Alex. Bring a jig or 2 and some grubs for seabass. Saved the day last week for me. :D

I called this morning already booked. Im hopping on the Bandit Saturday instead. I fished MS 2 weeks ago - many 8-14 ponders came up on 2nd drop.

Good luck, it is always on and off this time of year, hopefully you get an on day.
That is normally the case. Everytime I do a 2 day trip one trip is very good while the other is just OK. The good thing there is always the chance of putting a few double digits on the deck even on a slow day. Most of us go down for the chance of that fish of a liftime. Many times a 15 pound fish does not even win the pool. Looks like I am driving solo as I did not here from anyone who is going done and wants to car pool

Captain made a long run over 4 hrs to the first stop. We had great weather, some really good blackfisherman on board and captain had us on good bottom all day. ZThe only problem was fish never got the message as fishing was slow. Russian was hig hook with 4 and pool fish just under 12 pounds. I had three fish with one around 7 pounds. Many guys went home with a goose egg. Capt kept us out late as we did not get back to dock till around 7:30. That is winter blackfishing for you. They chance of catching that 20 pounder keeps some of us coming back.

Tried to leave you a few messages but your mailbox is full. Left you a few text messages and never heard back from you. Looks like he headed way south, Not sure what water temp was. Thought I heard a few guys mentioned that it was well withen the normal range for good tog fishing. Had my buddy go out of Barnegat on same day friday and they fished 37 degree water in 80 ft which should be below normal temp for decent tog fishing and they totally crushed them. You just never no. We had excellent conditions and great bottom and had super slow day while they had shity wheather rough seas and low water temp and crushed them. When you think you have it figured out you are humbled by the mighty tog fish.
