Made it out today with a small crew. Bite was fairly steady and Captain Steve made many moves considering it was not a money making day for the boat. Mostly ling, lots of short tog, a few keeper tog, a few keeper cod and one pollack. Mixed sized dogs and a good bunch of silver eels on some stops. I wound up with 10 ling, one good one around 3 1/2lbs, and a 4lb pollack. Pool was a 5lb cod. I spent half the day blackfishing and the bite was fierce, 0-14 on keepers for me. Some keepers were caught, but the best I caught was 14 2/3." Very aggressive bites, almost like the canal on one spot. High hook was in the high teens on ling.

All the likely culprits:eek:

Nice report TOG, some filets at the end of the day and lots of action including those short blackfish on a "very aggressive bite". You know that the two best days to go fishing are Yesterday and Tomorrow. Sounds like you had a little of both today.
