Well it is only in the sevenenties,a real cold front lol.Nice yellowtail snapper on the large size.26'' is a beauty but not the norm.Good variety here with king mackeral, cobia and sails. We are mainly sapper fishing, mangrove and yellowtail. When we get our limit we switch to the kings and an occasional cobia.Always something going on.It is a whopping 4 miles to the reef! Will post some pics.this week.ps-Percy nets work just fine down here.

What is the snapper fishery like there? It's messed up with the regulations still?

The limit is 10 snapper per person. We catch mutton, yellowtail, mangrove, lane etc.Red snapper is closed but they are not an inshore fish. The fishing grounds are so close to my condo it takes 15 minutes!

Nice sized muttons are the prize!! Need a decent current, in that area we used to catch them using LONG leaders, something like 15' to 20' floro leaders. Don't bounce the sinker off the bottom, either keep it still, or wind up a bit off the bottom. Some nice 15# fish are not uncommon. Black grouper are closed I assume?

Definitely a big assortment of great eating fish!!! Many of the locals stay in the coral heads to fish, using live shrimp to nail hogfish snapper!! Hope you find the tuna!!!
