just got home from offshore seabass trip out of barnegat light. fished non-sponsor boat (dm) with 3 other buddys. capt made a last minute descision to fish. left dock 45 min early and was fishing by 4:45 am. nice pick of seabass in dark with some bluefish and silver eels. sunrise came up and it was lock and load seabass fishing til me left at 10:00 am. we all had are limits of nice 2 to 5lb seabass. we had one of the ventafish tools (work great by the way) and keep noth under 16". fish 1 wreck all morning with 2 shifts and left fish bitten. got most of my fish on clams but did jig last 1/2 hrs and pick fishs on jigs til we left. sea weren't bad at all til we started coming in. back at dock at 3:30 pm. no cod or pollack caught were caught. some ling and porgies rounded out the catch:D

Way to go. The seabass bite just isnt slowing down. Were you fishing rock pile or wrecks? Im curious to see if sea bass are hitting jigs while anchored on wrecks.

They have been biting on jigs when anchored. I used gold hammered.
