Food - baked in tomato sauce and onions - yum
Bait: shark, ling, fluke, tuna

I could be wrong, and perhaps they are late, but I don't think they are around yet in any substantial numbers.. I am NOT an expert, but seem to recall that some years they stay much further offshore when heading south and east... bob

If you cut them up into small strips and heavily salt them, they make great seabass baits too! especially nice when you have a heavy bite going on and you're blowing through clam. trick is to freeze them on some kind of elevated rack so the liquid can drain off them.

Try this. Drill holes in the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket. Salt macks and put in bucket. Put holed bucket in another 5 gallon to drain.

Yupp that works, but we do it in smaller versions via two chinese food containers.
