Ran off about 40 miles to start yesterday morning. Settled on a wreck in 140ft. Slow fishing, just a handful of sea bass and a few ling.
Next Spot was better with a few keeper cod, a pollock, a few sea bass and a few ling.
Last wreck was best, steady action on mixed sized ling along with a few cod.
Okay overall.
The Gambler will be running the 20-40 mile trips Saturday and Sunday.
Running these 7 to 5 trips every day except for Fridays thru January.

sorry capt. vinny I lost service out there or I would've reported every hour on the hour. :D . Slow pick all day. I wound up with 7 or 8. Others had a few more and some with less. 1 24" cod came over the rail on the last spot. Not an epic day but it was nice to get out and I'm thankful to the captain for taking a light crowd of 10 anglers.

Thanks for the report. I'm on the trip on the 19th - hopefully the results will be a little bit better. Went out on the Adam Bomb yesterday out of Cape May. We had out limit by 10:30 AM with drop and reel action from start to finish. One spot, multiple short drifts. There was one PM out there out of the Wildwood area - looked like they were mostly catching dogs while we had very few.
Can you let me know what bait is provided on the Gambler for the long range trips? Clam, Squid (strip or whole), crabs, other?
Thanks!

They supply you with clam...if you want other stuff you have to bring it. We didn't get further than the mudhole. The trip you're taking goes much further out. 5" gulp squid and 8-10oz hammered fish jigs would be good to have on the trip you're taking. Shimano flat sided jigs produce also. Good luck and catch em up!!
