Good Ling Fishing
The last couple of days we had continued good fishing with plenty of Ling, a few Cod and some Blackfish mixed in (along with lots of Silver eels and Dogfish, but that's not important right now ;-) Tuesday we had anglers with 10 to 15 per person with high hooks in the twenties. Matt Gocek from the Poconos won the pool with a Blackfish and combined with his friend Mr. Flad had about 40 Ling, John Watson from Bayoone, NJ had 22 Ling and Peter Reynolds from Princeton, NJ had 21 Ling.
Fishing on Wednesday was even better with high hooks in the upper 30's. We had a nice size crowd on Wednesday and the fish did not disappoint. Fish bit on and off all day long, with some nice shots in the afternoon of mostly Ling. We never really lost the fish on Wednesday till the end of the day when it died (except one shift earlier that produced copious amounts of doggies.....needless to say we did not stay there very long!) Marcus Sirmans from Somerset, NJ had 39 Ling, Mike Zita from Robinsville, NJ had 20 Ling, Al Rajnai from Carteret, NJ had 25 Ling, Ed Toth from Wysox, PA had 30 Ling, Bill Seidle had 37 Ling, William Kinly had 37 Ling, Jim Pruitt from Lindenwold, NJ had 35 Ling and the rest of the boat averaged from 15 to 20+ fish per person.
We continue to sail 7 days a week for Ling and Cod as our primary targets with some Blackfish mixed in.
