Giant Sea Bass - Jumbo Porgies
Cod – Pollock
Sailing 11PM Every Tuesday – Thursday – Friday & Saturday
1-4 Offshore Sea Bass Report
Fishing was very good again on the Friday offshore trip. Everyone caught limits of sea bass up to 7.5LBS and some big porgies.
The seas were a bit choppy today but that did not stop the sea bass from biting.
The pool winner was:
Hardge Davis from East Orange NJ with the two top fish today.
A 7.5LB sea Bass and a 6.75LB sea Bass.
We still even had some blues biting on the trip, especially while it was still dark in the morning.

It looks good for upcoming trips. There is a good migration of giant sea bass and still plenty more porgies on their way to the offshore wrecks.

The big Jamaica is scheduled to sail offshore every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday leaving 11PM the night before.

Cap, do you fish from about 5 am till 2 pm then?Depends on how far they had to ride and how the fishing was. There is no set time other than departure. Everything else is up for grabs. Typically (and this probably won't be the trip you are on because I just said "typically") it is from 4 to 6 hours out to the first drop. How many moves after that, how the fishing was, does he need to stay late cause the fish bit late, etc. etc. is just like any other fishing trip.
