Can someone give me a heads up on fishing in Daytona Beach the 1st. week of February? Normally, I fish farther south, or on the west coast, but I have the opportunity to go for the 1st time to Daytona this year. I understand there is a SpecledTrout and Flounder (fluke) fishery there, but if there's a good boat or not-so- secret spot you could share, I'm all ears. Thanks for any input..................Papa
Was down there about 5 years ago. There's a nice pier rite on the beach, you can buy live shrimp at the tackle shop at the beginning of the pier. It was pretty cool, caught some sheepshead and maybe some whiting? They charge you to get on the pier but they also sell cold beer;) All in all its fun to make a day of it if your there. Just bring a fillet knife, there are fish fillet tables rite there.

A few miles south of Daytona is ponce inlet. There you can find the critter fleet, the seaspirit or arrange for a make up charter. Do a quick google search you will find everything u need. I have fished with all of them. Pm me if you want more details.

I was just down there last week and went out on the Sea Spirit in Ponce Inlet.
Capt Mike runs a great clean well run boat with excellent mates.
I went with 3 others including my wife and we had a blast. We caught Pig Fish, Porgies, Sea Bass, Red Snapper, grouper, and a few fluke. Sea bass and Red snapper were out of season but we caught and realeased plenty.
If you go check their web site and groupons discounts.
