Anybody know where to buy the do-dads that replace the jig hooks in the molds for making homemade spros? I'd Google them but I don't know what you would call them?

You might be talking about number 2 eyes, but you will have to modify your mold or have a custom mold made...You can call me with any questions...Sam

The #2 brass eye will fit but you will need to clean out lead as the eye is way to loose in the mold. Like Sam said you will need to modify the mold. I have seen people use J B Weld. You can get the eyes at any lure build sites. And how do you plan to attach the swing hook. I have poured a few using some stainless wire. I just measured the wire and it is 1/10th of an inch thick. Please keep us posted.

I cut the hook off a jig hook, straightend out a snap lock #3 (mine had a swivel) and wired them together. Should have left a little less of snap outside mold. Problem solved. Easiest way to cut hook is with the edge of a grindstone. Opened up the eye of a 4/0 hook with a fine nailset to fit over swivel and closed with pliers. This is a 6 oz jig.

3oz spro. 4/0 hook. When I go into full production think I'll put on hook when everything else is done.

Looks good. Did you use the #2 eye and did you need to clean the lead off it?

That's a #2. Had to clean off a little bit of lead. Wrapped a little wire around the eye for a better foot in the lead. These molds are routed out to accept smaller hooks.
