note on hopatcong...Lees closed til march

Just wanted to let you guys know Lees launch shut down yesterday. I saw Ernie today at homedepot and he informed me they are closed til March 15th and the ramps are padlocked and chained. Sucks cause thats where I launch from usually. Dont know if any marinas are still launching, or if State Park is alternative. Hopefully Ice soon and we can put the boats away til Spring

I love L.H. The States largest PUBLIC lake with little or no PUBLIC access.

Thanx for the heads up. If I got a wild hair up my a** and I wanted to go jig for walleye on a mild winter day if we had no ice that is where I would be launching from. KDC members had access to the yacht club for launching one year during the winter but I don't know if that still holds. Keep us posted.

We launched from the State Park on Saturday...bright and early...stayed late...free of charge. Water level was good, dock was in, ramp was in good shape.

state park is year round. i have launched there and had to be careful of the ice chunks on my way out to open water.
