Wanna start by saying I hope everyone is recovering well from the storms and getting the help they need. It's def been a crazy time for sure.

With the lack of fishing I've been able to do I've found some time to reminisce on some good old fishing photos. Found a couple good ones. The first is an old pb largie. Honestly, I'm not even sure we're it was caught. The other two are some wayyyyy old cedar grove resi smallies. Man I miss that place, prob the clearest water I've ever fished and home of some beasts!!! Unfortunately, I rarely carried a camera back then and never caught much when I did, lol......
Maybe one day Newark watershed will realize the potential of the place to sell permits to fisherman and dogwalkers at least, but, prob not........

I used to sneak into Cedar Grove Res. way back before 9-11, and there were lots of smallies and pickerel in there.
Now if you try to sneak in to fish anything you're some kind of terrorist.

There used to be a lot of locals that went there, even if it was posted. We used to go fish there during the day and go swim and hang out there at night during the summer.

Besides, if they were to open it up, it would be a win win for everyone. The watershed would make money off the permits, and the town would make money off tickets given to people who entered without a permit.

Makes too much sense for it to happen though lol. Same goes for Wanaque Res.
