Big fishy and I got on the water later than we wanted to at around 8:15. Spruce Run has to be between 20-40ft lower. Launched the boat from the right of the ramp (actually pretty easy). We slow trolled large herring and x-large shiners from Lebanon Bait. Had great marks of bait balls and fish on them between 15-20ft right in the launch cove area w/no takers. Explored the rest of the lake in bad wind with drenching white caps caught 1 13" hybrid. Decided to run back to the ramp area. At 1:30pm they turned on.We got 5 all 3-4lbers no monsters. With 2 double hook ups. Also missed two run offs. All fish at 10-15 ft water over 20ft. water temp was 60.9 I gave a really detailed report so Bigfishy is gonna yell..watch lol. If anyone is successfull w/ this info please try to release some of them!!
Good luck

Nice report. I got into a few Hybrids myself last night too, not trolling, just livelined drifting them. Nothing better than one of these badboys ripping drag :D .

+1. Persistence is the great equalizer!
Nice job on finding them.

Sometimes the amount of fish is not as important as the fishing. I enjoy fishing SR, I have fished it off and on sense it was built, I even use to go there before it was built. It's a pleasant place to fish. I also like to drift herring rather than trolling. It may be more productive to fish LH or to troll SR. But for me I just enjoy SR even when I don't catch as many fish. Like Bigfishy said, if you put your time in you will find fish, there or just about anyplace you enjoy fishing.

Great report! Nice to see Spruce still doing so well. I think it is down to 63% capacity right now, that is keeping a lot of people away.

That sounds like a good number....prob about 100 yards walk from normal pool to where the water is now.....Gr8 time to go take pictures of structure...
Islands where there were humps and islands that are no longer islands...You can really pin point scattered rock piles and drop offs....
