It has been very quiet here the past few days with this rainy weather. However, the few that have ventured out to the Round Valley shoreline have started to get them. They seem to be chasing spinners and medium shiners; hitting much better on mealworms and powerbait. The fall "cruising the shoreline" has begun.
Yesterday - Zach: Just got back from Round Valley now .... Picked up a 13.5-inch Chain Pickerel, 2 Largemouth Bass measuring 11.5 and 14-inches, and topped it off with a 16.5-inch Rainbow Trout on my last shiner. Was fishing medium shiners and Powerbait, everything was caught on shiners though
Ryan: Quite a few people on the shore line this morning. I'm picking away at them this morning with flies (streamers)

thanks Andy, but I looked at the NJFW book earlier and Im pretty sure it is all trout C&R til Dec1st the way I read it. If your info is from elsewhere then its prob the case, I thought just those 2 bodies had wierd restrictions.

Ahhhh yes memories of RV shoreline fishing. My buddy and myself used to get there at 330 am this time of year to wack those shoreline Bows and Browns. Headlights on, lower lot, marshmallow mealworm, baby shrimp, velveeta, crawlers under bobbers, shiners under bobbers and orange Power bait really used to kill the Bows before the sun even came up. Those trout fight like crazy. Good luck to those that are still doin it. TIGHT LINES!!!

Yes, some big ones in there. The weedbeds by the lower ramp usually have some in there.
I might venture out to my spot next weekend, haven't hit it since April.
