I'm hearing threw the grapevine that yesterday at 11 am the leading WALLEYE was a little over 3lbs. Had to be some crappy conditions out there for a fish that small to be the leader.

My fishing partner was the winner. We nailed him at sunrise off the river styx inlet. Big thanks to Eddie Jr. for recommending the spot. We fished from 430am-5pm saturday with lotsa fish just no eyes, nobody was catching them. Sun morning we fished 430am-100pm. Sunday at sunrise we got that EYE and a few minutes later Gary from dows drifted into our spot while we were setting back up and got the 4 and change to take second. After that it was tons of stripers like saturday but no more eyes. Toughest conditions ive ever fished in a boat on LH, gusts to 35 white caps and sailboats galore........

Nice fish Jimmy and partner. Way to get on the fish in shitty conditions. 48 entries in that tourney, thats awesome. Great pics, healthy WALLEYE!!!

I was Jimmy's fishing partner this past weekend and I would first like to thank him again for having me on his boat. He worked his butt off controlling the boat and did a great job. Secondly, I need to thank Ed Mackin for pointing us in the right direction. I remember reading a post on here by his father saying that he has that lake running through his veins. Its true...lol. Thanks everyone! First time I won a fishing contest since the Fairfield fishing derby 30 years ago.
