Me and a buddy hit the river today fro 3 hrs and did pretty good had white perch on the first cast none stop the hole time ended up with 40 white perch 2 channel cats and 4 striper candy eels and a spot yes a spot in the passaic good day and was great to get out and fish

Wow a spot that's something I can't say I've caught yet in the passaic. Gotta love them eels give it a few weeks and ill be tossin them right back in live lining for some stripers!

it a baitfish but in nc they are big they eat them down there there a pic of one

they are an ocean fish, so you'd probably only find them downstream of the dundee dam

i have been fishing this river for about 27yrs and never seen one in there i think he was lost but it was very healthy

Awesome TIDAL Passaic report. Next time snap some pics! How was the water quality given the rain we had the other day?
On a side note, I remember reading an article in the Star Ledger a few years ago about a fisherman catching some South American native fish in the tidal Passaic :confused: .

water was not bad some trees but very fishable
