Tomorrow, Saturday the 8th, I'll be walking with over 1,000 friends, family and neighbors in the 10th Annual Walk With Joe. It was started by the friends of my father, Joe Driscoll, who was killed on 9/11. He was on Flight 93 - the flight that fought back and crashed in Shanksville, PA. To date we have raised over $250,000 for a variety of charities that include food pantries, scholorships, women/children in crisis, wounded veterans, et al.
A bittersweet day for sure - but a great cause for local charities and a nice way to turn the tragedy of 9/11 into something positive for your community.
Registration begins at 8:30 and the Ceremony begins at 10am. Even if you can't make it your support would be appreciated. The Walk With Joe is a 501(c)3 organization and all donations are tax deductible.
