So, what other stuff are you into when not fishing?

When I have free time, which is not often, I'm usually fishing. But every now then, I like to do a little homebrewing. Over the course of two years, I've made hundreds of beers. Everything from pale ales to IPAs and stouts. Some GREAT, and some not so much. But it's always good to sit back and enjoy a brew I made myself.

Just this past week, I harvested my second batch of homegrown hops. I have 3 diff varieties and they really produced this year, even with the above average temps. Heres a couple pics.........

After you use them would like to know how they compare to ones you have tried previously. Did not know hops would grow in NJ!

From what I've read, homegrown are slightly less potent than those grown in "hop valley". But, these look a bit thicker than last year. Either way, I'll just add a "bit" more than what the recipe calls for. Besides, can't be too hoppy, can it???
