JUST A LITTLE CURIOUS IF ANY ONE ELSE IS DISSAPOINTED IN THE NEW GULP
WAY TO SOFT, NO JUICE, AND A PLASTIC TRAY:confused:
I GOT A COUPLE OF BAGS AND WENT THROUGH THEM LIKE CANDY.
SEEM ALL A FISH HAS TO DO IT TUG ON THEM AND THEY ARE SO SOFT THE HOOK TARES THEM UP OR THE FISH DOES.

What new gulp r u talking about? all gulp ive bought n used this year seem the same. maybe all the small blues r tearing them up on you, you will have that problem with any soft bait like a gulp.

we just noticed that there is no juice also, but you can buy the juice. It is probably another gimmick so they can charge more.

New gulp is as big a useless waste of money as old gulp.

We have been getting complaints from customers who have used nothing but Gulp! over the years! Seems there just may be something off with the latest product!!
My advice is to call and email them to let them know that you are unhappy with the changes. When they get it from multiple customers, it usually gets attention. ;)
No doubt that Gulp! has been an incredible product. Whatever the problem is, I am sure they will resolve it, once they are made aware.

even the new gulp alive is way softer than the old stuff, one fish its done, where the other stuff you could barely get off the hook at days end

Berkley made them this way for two reasons, 1.) you can not have a bait that lasts too long and they are in business to make money. 2.) Customer Feedback. The customers reported that the old gulp was way too stiff and didn't act right in the water so they changed it.

the gulp in the bag is a lot softer than the pint container. dont put the gulp from the bag in the juice in the pint container, because it gets a lot softer. the gulp in the pint container is much harder.

Great topic. I've noticed the same problem on my end. I am going thru the new Gulp like crazy. It's a great bait this time of year. Many limits but it is different. Above comments are correct in that it is softer. And it's not bluefish bites. They are Fluke bites. Hell, I've had a number of fish bite the tails off on the 6 inch mullet. I thought it was strange but after seeing this thread, I realize I am not alone. Anyway, I will contact Gulp and express my opinion. Thanks all for sharing your views.

There you go. I heard this very same complaint a few years back. Would hear how hard it was to get off the hook and how people would hook themselves trying. No matter how hard a company ties, they cant keep everyone happy.
Me....... I like the old stuff better, myself. But I see both sides and can appreciate both sides of the argument.

I have a new jar and it's been solid. Maybe it's the packet baits that are too soft.

I emailed them about why they don't offer the 6" Grubs in the ovals ... took about 4 days to get a reply ... they said would pass on my suggestion to product managers ...
