Jamie resigned her corporate position to purse her dream of opening Eyes on First Ave in Atlantic Highlands, NJ.

I have to thank Chris GJertsen for the heads up on the site, it is a great site and it made complete sense for me to advertise here since I am one of a few Authorized Prescription and Non Prescription Costa Del Mar Dealers in the Monmouth and Ocean County. What frame and lens color do you want in the Corbina frame? Mirror or Non Mirrored? I will make sure I have it for you and if I do not I will order it. Jamie - I've had my Costas for a few weeks now and really like them. Didn't know how much I liked them until I was out yesterday trolling for Mahi and Tuna.

It was an overcast day so not full sun but very hazy. Watching for stuff to troll by or over is very important. So is being able to see lobster pots, into and under the water around the pots or in the back of your trolling spread is key. I was amazed to see how clear and how good I was able to see into the water, that is until I took of my Costas off to clean them.

Those 580 lenses are amazing. When I took them off there was a horrible glare from the hazy sun bouncing off the windshield of the boat. The water also had a glare to it to and I really couldn't see into it. I put them back on and it was like night and day. I could clearly see the lobster pots through the windshield we were driving around but trying to avoid. I could also see down into the water around the pots and under our trolling spread. These are big pluses.

2 other pluses...
1) Usually when I come back in from being out on the water and in the sun all day, my eyes are fatigued. That did not happen with the Costas.
2) It wasn't a real great day weather wise in the AM because of haze we had, but looking at the day through those lens really made everything pop. At least for me, the weather and my perception of it has an effect on my attitude which was made more positive by the lenses.

Lost my Costa's Saturday evening after coming in from a boat ride on our family boat. Fell right off my head into the lagoon. Water was too deep to locate :mad:

Luckily, Eyes on First, recently signed up to be a sponsor on the site. Normally I would have gone right to the mall, but I wanted to help out one of our sponsors.
I tried on numerous pairs, but could not get my mind off the ones I had lost, an older model of Harpoon. I loved the lens and they fit me just right. Jamie had the harpoon in stock, but these had a new updated lens. I was sold.

Jamie was also gracious enough to give me a very nice deal on the new shades. Thank you very much! I will pass the word along to anyone I know looking for great service and a good selection at great prices!

Will keep you in mind for shades for the wife when I need a gift- Might be very soon If I keep fishing as much as I am:eek:

Once people wear the new 580's they really will not settle for anything less. As you mentioned, the clarity on the water and in different lighting conditions is amazing. Not to mention the great variety and selection of frame styles and sizes that keep the sun and wind from bothering your eyes while out on the water.

On another note, I just wanted to say it has been a pleasure to meet so many of the NJFishing.com members this summer. Everyone is so nice and has been great. Many of them make a point to tell me that NJFishing Members are loyal to the sites sponsors. Most of them could have gotten a new pair of Costa's from a West Marine, Dick's Sporting Goods etc... but have made the trip to Eyes on First Ave. Members have made the trip from Ocean County, Staten Island, Cranford etc... Lost my Costa's Saturday evening after coming in from a boat ride on our family boat. Fell right off my head into the lagoon. Water was too deep to locate :mad:

Luckily, Eyes on First, recently signed up to be a sponsor on the site. Normally I would have gone right to the mall, but I wanted to help out one of our sponsors.
I tried on numerous pairs, but could not get my mind off the ones I had lost, an older model of Harpoon. I loved the lens and they fit me just right. Jamie had the harpoon in stock, but these had a new updated lens. I was sold.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to give all of you an update on what's new for Costa Del Mar in 2013.
1. 13 new styles have been added - Cut, Conch, Cat Cay, Hatch, Ansil, Saltbreak, Cayan, Miss Britt(womens), Straights, Tuna Alley, Tower, Inlet(womens) and Tippet(womens).
2. 15 new frame colors have been added to select styles -The most new colors ever added -Camoflauge(super cool), Costa Blackout (Costa C in temple is black versus silver, originally created for people in the military), Ocean, Black Pearl, Thunder Gray, Orchid(womens), Honey Tortoise and Coconut Fade are just a few.
3. A bigger focus on women's Costa - The women's line has been expanded to include more styles and colors.
As a premium Costa Del Mar Dealer, I get the new styles first. I have already received most of the new styles for 2013. As a reminder, if you wear glasses for distance or wear bifocals or progressives most Costa's can have a prescription put into them. I am the only authorized prescription Costa Dealer in the area. A single Mom with 3 kids 9, 6 and 3 that lost it all in the flood, except what they managed to take with them before evacuating. Very nice lady who is studying to become a nurse who was very moved by the support.

Before we left, Jamie learned that the Mom and oldest son lost their glasses in the flood and is going to donate a pair of glasses for each of them. Great of her to do that and for her to be on our Fund Raising Committee.

Thanks Chris. I was so happy that we were able to get both pairs of your Costa's replaced under warranty. Costa really stands behind their lifetime warranty against manufacturers defect. They are the only company that has a lifetime warranty, most other manufactures only warranty the glasses for a year. Please pass along my congratulations to Eileen on her new business! I heard she is now a partner at In The Garden in the Highlands. Awesome!

The Costa Neoprene retainers slide onto the frame arms and create a tight grip Their wide design makes them comfortable when sunglasses are on or hanging around your neck.
